Choose EA’s authenticator option
- Sign in to your EA Account’s Security and Privacy page.
- Open Two-factor authentication → Turn On.
- Choose the Authenticator app tab and select Set up.
Add EA to Sign In
Use Sign In, our authenticator app, for codes on your iPhone.
- If the service displays an enrollment QR code on another screen, open Sign In and tap Add → Scan QR Code.
- If it offers a setup key instead, choose Add → Enter Setup Key. Label Service as EA and Account with your account name, then paste the secret into Key.
- Review the entry and tap Add Account.
- Enter the current code back on EA when prompted and finish verification. Confirm that the authenticator method is enabled.
Keep the setup key private. If you only have one iPhone and no manual key is offered, open the enrollment page on a second screen.
Save your backup codes
After enrollment, choose View backup codes. Keep a secure copy you can reach without your phone. Save these before replacing or resetting your old device.
If you cannot use your usual method, try another method already enabled on the account or a saved backup code. If none works, contact EA Help for recovery assistance.
Email, SMS, and other methods
EA supports email and text-message codes as well. In the two-factor settings, choose Edit beside your methods to review enabled options and set a preference. Passkeys may also be available for your account.
If a code does not work
Make sure the EA entry in Sign In matches the account you are using. Wait for a fresh code, then enter it before it changes. If fresh codes keep failing, check that your iPhone uses automatic date and time.
Keep a working sign-in session and your recovery information available while resolving the problem. Adding an entry to Sign In does not finish enrollment: the service must accept a code and confirm activation.
