MONDAY.COM ACCOUNT GUIDE

How to enable 2FA on monday.com

An administrator enables two-factor authentication for a monday.com account. Members and guests then enroll their own method when prompted at sign-in.

Enable 2FA or follow the enrollment prompt

  1. As an administrator, open your profile picture, then Administration → Security → Authentication.
  2. Under Two-Factor Authentication, select Add two-factor authentication.
  3. Choose the authentication-app method.

If you are a member or guest, follow the setup prompt after your administrator enables the requirement.

Add monday.com to Sign In

Use Sign In, our authenticator app to generate codes on your iPhone.

  1. Display the enrollment QR code on another screen.
  2. In Sign In, tap Add → Scan QR Code, scan it, review the details, then tap Add Account.
  3. Enter the current code from Sign In in monday.com to confirm setup.

Keep the QR code private. If you are setting up on one iPhone and no manual setup option is displayed, open the enrollment page on a second screen.

If your phone is unavailable

While you still have access, you can reset your own method from My Profile. Otherwise, ask an administrator for help. They can open Administration → Directory → Users, find your name, and reset your method from the three-dot menu. You then enroll again.

Keep a working session until your replacement is confirmed. Do not assume the setup provides backup codes.

Text messages and company sign-in

SMS is another option on eligible plans, but it is unavailable on free and trial accounts. Enterprise accounts may use SAML sign-in under company policy.

An occasional emailed verification code can be a separate account-protection check.

If a code does not work

Make sure the monday.com entry in Sign In matches the account you are using. Wait for a fresh code, then enter it before it changes. If fresh codes keep failing, check that your iPhone uses automatic date and time.

Keep a working sign-in session and your recovery information available while resolving the problem. Adding an entry to Sign In does not finish enrollment: the service must accept a code and confirm activation.
