Find authenticator verification
- Sign in to KuCoin and open your profile.
- Choose Account Security → Google Verification → Configure.
- Complete the identity check using an available passkey, email, or SMS method.
Google Verification is KuCoin’s label for this code-based setting. You can scan its standard enrollment code with Sign In.
Add KuCoin to Sign In
You can use Sign In, our authenticator app for codes on your iPhone.
- With the setup QR code on another screen, open Sign In and tap Add → Scan QR Code.
- Scan the code, review the account details, and tap Add Account.
- Enter the current six-digit code back in KuCoin to complete enrollment.
KuCoin provides a secret setup key for manual entry. In Sign In, choose Add → Enter Setup Key, set Service to KuCoin and Account to your account name, paste the secret into Key, then tap Add Account. Keep this key private.
Save the current setup key
Keep a secure copy of the secret outside your phone. It can recreate your code entry if the phone is lost. A new enrollment produces a new key, so keep the latest one.
If the key is unavailable, use Reset Authentication in KuCoin’s help center and follow its verification process. KuCoin restricts withdrawals for 24 hours after updating 2FA settings.
Other security checks
Email, text messages, and passkeys may also be used for account checks. A user-chosen trading password is separate from the rotating authenticator code.
If a code does not work
Make sure the KuCoin entry in Sign In matches the account you are using. Wait for a fresh code, then enter it before it changes. If fresh codes keep failing, check that your iPhone uses automatic date and time.
Keep a working sign-in session and your recovery information available while resolving the problem. Adding an entry to Sign In does not finish enrollment: the service must accept a code and confirm activation.
